At the end of this volume we would like to recall the point of departure for the research project on the philosophical aspects of the concept of human health that led to this book. Our purpose was to provide a critical analysis of the WHO definition of health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity" (WHO, 1946), and to propose the outlines for a personalist conception of human health. What are the results of our research? Which are the main philosophical insights expressed in the contributions gathered in this volume?
