Abstrakt

Karl Mannheim, one of the founders of the sociology of knowledge (Wissensoziologie), was born in Budapest in 1893, and held academic posts at the universities of Heidelberg and Frankfurt and The London School of Economics and Political Science. He died in London in 1947.
