Abstrakt

The first smiling of the infant has always met with particular interest, and not alone because it is the most beautiful phenomenon of infancy. It became an object of scientific investigation because it seemed to represent the first contact of the infant with another human being and thus to be well-fitted for clarifying the very complex problem of mutual understanding.
