While orality studies are well developed, more and more linguists are turning towards writing to question its materiality, systematicity, preferential grammar or its specific discursive practices. The journal Linguistique de l’écrit is dedicated to the description and analysis of these specificities (material, semiological, cognitive, grammatical or discursive), without prejudice as to the studied theoretical currents, socio-discursive layers or genres of discourse.
