This comment on Julian Hilton's article discusses two of his examples: the writings of Georg Büchner, and Henrik von Kleist's On Marionette Theatre. While Hilton finds Büchner's parallel between people and automatons to be positive and constructive, Florin sees it as helpless and constrained. While Hilton sees in Kleist a connection between Utopian dance and artificial intelligence, Florin focuses on the aspects of Kleist which do not permit a given conclusion or moral to be arrived at.
