Abstract

Few issues in Hegel scholarship are so contentious, and few have been so historically neglected in the English speaking world, as the question of the relevance of Hegel's philosophical account of religion to the coherence of his thought as a whole. This collection of essays addresses itself to this question. It has been produced in the belief that the religious dimension in Hegel's thought is of central relevance not just to theologians and philosophers of religion, but to anyone seeking to understand and critically to engage with Hegel's philosophical achievement.
