System approach to the problem of the classification of sciences and scientific researches

The problem of the classification of scientific knowledge is one of the most important problems of the methodology of science. A. Polikarov has given considerable attention to this problem. The author of the present paper is greatly satisfied by the fact that he used to cooperate with A. Polikarov in the development of that problem. He hopes that the joint efforts will result in drawing attention to the new fundamental divisions which correspond to the scientific spirit of the second half of the twentieth century.
