Abstract

Some wise man has said: "Never regret growing old, for it is a privilege denied many." In the case of William Ernest Hocking, ninety years of age gave him the exceptional privilege of writing a Preface to the 1963 edition of The Meaning of God in Human Experience,1 with the knowledge that it had become widely recognized as an unquestioned philosophic classic of the 20th Century.
