Abstrakt

This volume of essays has its origins in a conference that was held at the University of Sydney in June 1989. The purpose of the conference was to test the possibilities of discussion between exponents of certain kinds of "literary theory' and of certain modes of "philosophy', and to promote such dialogue as proved to be possible between these groups.
