Abstrakt

Hegel's semiology is dialectical. The sense of the sign is a middle between the sensible and the intelligible, as the Kantian schema is a sensible concept in the imagination.¹ In the sign itself the internalised essence of external particulars is incorporated and re-externalised in objective thought in itself, that is to say in the public memory of a spoken language.
