Abstrakt

After having reconstructed the main features of Plekhanov's philosophical and scientific readings, it is worth reflecting on his dialectics. Plekhanov dealt with dialectics more seriously than most of his contemporary Marxist since he considered "dialectics' to be so important within Marxist thought as to choose it as Marxism's most characteristic feature. After 1891, Plekhanov wrote about Marxism as both "historical" and "dialectical" materialism. As his writing for the 69th anniversary of Hegel's death, [1891] his harsh polemic against Bernstein's declared contempt for dialects and, more generally, his whole theorotical work clearly shows, Plekhanov thought that Hegel's dialectic was the greatest contribution that non-materialist philosophy had ever made to the development of materialestic conceptions.
