This chapter discusses the lives and contributions made from Charles Robert Darwin, Francis Galton, and Jean-Martin Charcot on early intelligence theory. A synopsis of their lives is provided with an emphasis of how each's unique background, experience, and knowledge influenced not only the development of their beliefs and theories, but the current understanding of human intelligence.
