Abstrakt

This article serves as an introduction to this text on existential psychotherapy, which originated as a special issue of the Journal of Contemporary Psychotherapy (2015, Volume 45, No. 1). This book clarifies and furthers existential psychotherapy for those who may not be familiar with the merits of these approaches. There is value in them, but they are often misunderstood. Contributions to this work represent a range of international perspectives, with submissions from the United States, the United Kingdom, Colombia, the Russian Federation, and Portugal. These works explain an array of existential psychotherapy schools of thought considering different contexts.
