Abstrakt

Corpus semiotics is not yet a fully developed disciplinary domain. At present, in several disciplines ranging from linguistics to musicology, iconology, cinema studies, archaeology and anthropology, extended corpora of increasingly better quality are constituted, their investigation aided by software of various kinds. This is the empirical basis of the following reflections. They will not dwell upon the epistemological status of semiotics, namely whether semiotics is an actor in the sciences of culture or rather their organon.
