Abstract

Since Arp's original paper.(1) "anomalous' redshifts (henceforth denoted ARs) have been showing up experimentally (see Ref. 2 for a recent review), not only in distant objects (such as companion galaxies,(3) NGC 7603,(4,5) or Stephan's Quintet(6,7)), but also in those in our own Galaxy (such as HD 217312(8) and WR binaries(9)) and even in our own Sun,(10,11) where they seem to be asso ciated with a significant increase of the deflection of light exceeding Einstein's prediction.(12)
