Jan Patočka positionierte den Denker im Rahmen einer Auseinandersetzung mit dem Werk des Comenius als jemanden mit »offener Seele«. Heute ist allerdings demgegenüber Offenheit keine intellektuelle Kategorie, sondern Realität, notwendig für den status quo. Shinichi Sohma zeigt – in Zurückweisung des status quo –, dass Offenheit für die nachhaltige Entwicklung der Gesellschaft notwendig sein wird und dass sie für die Versöhnung durch gegenseitiges Verständnis gebraucht werden wird. Offenheit kann deshalb ein Schlüssel zur Anwendung der Theorie des Comenius in der heutigen Zeit werden. Und sie kann Comenius' Motto Leben geben: Gewalt ist ein Gegenbegriff zur Spontaneität.When evaluating the works of Comenius, Jan Patočka positioned the thinker as one with an »open soul« (offene Seele). In today's globalised world, ›openness‹ is not an intellectual concept but a reality essential for the status quo. The author shows, in rejecting the status quo, that openness will be necessary for the sustainable development of society and that it will be needed for reconciliation through mutual understanding. Openness can become a key to the contemporary application of Comenius' theory, and it can give life to his motto: Violence is a counterconcept to spontaneity.
