Abstract

Speaking about truth and about existence in the present context means speaking about the truth of sentences and the existence of particulars. Concerning truth, the restriction of course is determined by what is understood by a sentence. For the present approach, a being is — first of all — a particular, and only if existence is defined for particulars is it permissible to define general existence statements.
